Forming part of a new range of colour-changing hydrangeas, the flowers of this easy to grow shrub are a soft apple green when they first appear in midsummer, but as their season progresses, they develop a contrasting pink eye. Then towards the end of the season, the flower colour intensifies, and turns a darker green. A stunning specimen in a large pot, it can also be used in the border as a contrast for rich pinks and purples.
- Garden care: Leave the old flower heads in place through the winter. As the new shoots start to emerge in spring cut back a third to a quarter of the previous season’s flowering stems to the base and cut back the remaining flower heads to the first pair of buds.
- Humans: Skin allergen; Pets: Harmful if eaten
