‘Nabella’ is a late season cherry that bears abundant crops of dark red to black fruits with a tart flavour, perfect for cooking and making jams. Unlike ‘Morello’, ‘Nabella’ shows resistance to dieback but is also self-fertile, meaning it can produce fruit without requiring a pollination partner. Additionally, it serves as an excellent pollinator for other cherry varieties that are self-sterile.
Pollination Information: Though self-fertile, this cherry will produce a bigger crop if planted with another variety of cherry nearby. Ideally this should come from the same pollination group 4, however it is possible to use one from group 3 as well.
