Blooms Bees & Butterflies Pastel Shades is a fantastic bee and butterfly friendly mix of colourful tulips and daffodils ready to plant into any bed or border display.
In each collection you will receive the following:
- 5 × Tulipa ‘Okura’: A mid-season, single-flowered Triumph variety with reddish-orange bicolour blooms. Grows to 45cm.
- 5 × Tulipa ‘Van Eijk’: A stately grower, it has sturdy stems that stand up well in poor weather conditions, topped with very generously proportioned reddish-pink flowers, which tend to last longer than the average tulip. Also, being a Darwin hybrid, there’s a good chance that it will flower over several years. Grows to 55cm.
- 5 × Tulipa ‘Sun Lover’: Double, cup-shaped flowers in late spring that emerge golden-yellow with variable red-orange striations before maturing through shades of orange and tangerine. Excellent as sunset themed cut flowers. Grows to 40cm.
- 5 × Narcissus ‘Sportsman’: A large cupped, April flowering daffodil with overlapping, golden yellow petals and a bowl-shaped, ribbed, deep orange-red cup with a straight but lightly frilled mouth. Grows to 40cm.
- 5 × Narcissus ‘Golden Dawn’: An award winning (RHS) tazetta daffodil with spreading foliage and up to 5 fragrant flowers per stem, each 4.5cm (2in) in width with canary yellow petals and an orange cup. Grows to 45cm.
In September to December plant bulbs 15-20cm deep and 10-15cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Alternatively, allow 7-9 bulbs per 30cm sq. After flowering deadhead and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser each week for the first month. Once the foliage has died down naturally lift the bulbs and store in a cool greenhouse.
- Humans/Pets: Ornamental bulbs – not to be eaten
